Course on Queen Bee Rearing for Practicing Beekeepers. The course is practical in nature but also includes theory. In total, it consists of 8.5 hours of workshops spread over three meetings.

During the course, you will learn how to plan and carry out queen bee rearing for your own needs. We will start by discussing various methods, biology, terminology, tools, and more. Then, you will prepare the frames for breeding, transfer the larvae yourself, establish queen rearing colonies, isolate them, and place them in cages. Finally, you will manage the young queens.

We provide protective gear, all equipment, and materials. The practical work will be carried out on beehives near our workshop.

Course duration: 3 sessions:

• May 7, 2023, Sunday, from 10:00 to 14:30,
• May 16, 2023, Tuesday, from 17:00 to 19:00,
• May 21, 2023, Sunday, from 10:00 to 12:00. The course dates are closely coordinated with the breeding procedures.
